| Anything's possible if you've got enough nerve. ( Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling I hope she'll be a fool - that's the best thing a girl can be in this world, abeautiful little fool. ( The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald ) Blame it or praise it, there is no denying the wild horse in us. ( Jacob's Room by Virginia Woolf ) To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.
--Oscar Wilde
There are only the pursued, the pursuing, the busy, and the tired.
--F. Scott Fitzgerald Well, there's a light in your eye that keeps shining like a star that can't wait for a night. I hate to think I've been blinded, baby. Why can't I see youtonight? & the warmth of your smile starts a burning & the thrill of your touch gives me right. & I'm shaking so much, really yearning. Why don't you show up, make it all right? ( Fool in the Rain | Led Zeppelin ) I think what I have learned most is that I'll never be perfect. I'm nottalking about just looks or things like that, but in every part of life, I'll always be flawed. I'm sure a lot of girls feel that way too & I know thatdudes do 'cause I live with a bunch of 'em. The greatest feeling is knowing that I don't have to be right. | Style is knowing who you are, what you want to say, and not giving a damn.
--Gore Vidal It is not the men in your life that count, but the life in your men.
--Mae West That's why I write, because life never works except in retrospect. You can't control life, at least you can control your version. ( Stranger Than Fiction by Chuck Palahniuk )
A little consideration, a little thought for others; makes all the difference.
--Eeyore
It is the function of art to renew our perception. What we are familiar with we cease to see. The writer shakes up the familiar scene, and, as if by magic, we see a new meaning in it.
--Anais Nin
Isn't she pretty? Truly the angel's best. Boy, I'm so happy we have been heaven blessed. I can't believe what God has done. Through us He's give life to one. But isn't she lovely? Made from love. ( Isn't She Lovely | Stevie Wonder )

The details are the life of it. I insist, say everything on your mind. Don't hold back. Don't analyse or anything as you go along. Say it out. ( The Subterraneans by Jack Kerouac )
That’s what it feels like when you touch me; like millions of tiny universes being born and then dying in the space between your fingers and my skin.
--I Wrote This For You Things are sweeter when they're lost. I know - because once I wanted something & got it. It was the only thing I ever wanted badly, Dot, & when I got it, it turned to dust in my hand. ( The Beautiful & Damned by F. Scott Fitzgerald )
Nobody's perfect & I stand accused for lack of a better word & that's my best excuse. ( Jesus of Suburbia | Green Day ) credit:undercoverXXlove beautifuldisaster_quotesx3

I miss you. Not enough to want you back, but enough for it to hurt.

I have lots of things to teach you now, in case we ever meet, concerning the message that was transmitted to me under a pine tree in North Carolina on a cold winter moonlit night. It said that nothing ever happened, so don't worry. It's all like a dream. Everything is ecstasy, inside. We just don't know it because of our thinking minds. But in our true blissful essence of mind is known that everything is alright forever & forever & forever. Close your eyes, let your hands & nerve-ends drop, stop breathing for three seconds, listen to the silence inside the illusion of the world, & you will remember the lesson you forgot, which was taught in immense milky way soft cloud innumerable worlds long ago & not even at all. It is all one vast awakened thing. I call it the golden eternity. It is perfect. We were never really born, we will never really die. It has nothing to do with the imaginary idea of a personal self, other selves, many selves everywhere: Self is only an idea, a mortal idea. That which passes into everything is one thing. It's a dream already ended. There's nothing to be afraid of & nothing to be glad about. I know this from staring at mountains months on end. They never show any expression, they are like empty space. Do you think the emptiness of space will ever crumble away? Mountains will crumble, but the emptiness of space, which is the one universal essence of mind, the vast awakenerhood, empty & awake, will never crumble because it was never born. ( The Portable Jack Kerouac by Jack Kerouac )

Well, that's very nice. I'm glad. Well, here's... here's the point. I'm not particularly concerned with whether or not you like me, because I live to like you &... & I can't like you anymore. So... so when you're feeling real low &... & dirty, don't look to me to pump you back up 'cause... 'cause... 'cause maybe for the first time in your life I won't be there! ( Pretty in Pink )
| The wise thing is for us diligently to train ourselves to lie thoughtfully, judiciously; to lie with a good object, & not an evil one; to lie for others' advantage, & not to our own; to lie healingly, charitably, humanely, not cruelly, hurtfully, maliciously; to lie gracefully & graciously, not awkwardly & clumsily; to lie firmly, frankly, squarely, with head erect, not haltingly, tortuously, with pusillanimous mien, as being ashamed of our high calling. ( On the Decay of the Art of Lying by Mark Twain ) But I guess I did worry about it. I've been worrying about it ever since he told me. I look at people holding hands in the hallways, & I try to think about how it all works. At the school dances, I sit in the background, & I tap my toe, & I wonder how many couples will dance to "their song". In the hallways, I see the girls wearing guys' jackets & I think about the idea of property. & I wonder if anyone is really happy. I hope they are. I really hope they are. ( The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky ) I am out here for you. You don't know what it's like to be me out here for you. It is an up-at-dawn, pride-swallowing siege that I will never fully tell you about, okay? ( Jerry McGuire )
Pretty women wonder where my secret lies. I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size but when I start to tell them, they think I'm telling lies. I say, it's in the reach of my arms, the span of my hips, the stride of my step, the curl of my lips. I'm a woman, phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, that's me. ( Phenomenal Woman by Maya Angelou )
Now love, love don't come easy but I keep on waiting, anticipating for that soft voice to talk to me at night. For some tender arms to hold me tight. I keep waiting. Oh, until that day. But it ain't easy. No, you know it ain't easy. ( You Can't Hurry Love | Phil Collins )
